Anglicare Sydney buys Infinite Care, emphasises continuity of care

The deal brings 42 homes and 7,000 staff into the largest Christian for‑purpose aged care network

Anglicare Sydney will acquire Infinite Care in a move that will create one of Australia’s largest Christian for‑purpose residential aged care providers, bringing together 42 homes and around 7,000 staff across four states.

Both organisations confirmed on Monday that they had penned the agreement, with completion expected around May 2026.

The combined provider will operate roughly 4,600 beds across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. Leaders from both organisations said the merger positions the new entity to respond to rising demand, strengthen clinical capability and expand development opportunities at a time of significant pressure on the sector.

Anglicare Sydney chief Simon Miller said the acquisition is a strategic step to build scale and deliver stronger outcomes for residents and staff.

“With an ageing population, older Australians need strong aged care providers that are sustainable for the future,” he said.

He said Infinite Care’s resident‑focused model and its shared values made the organisations a natural fit.

“We look forward to combining best practice, investing in palliative care and expanding pastoral and spiritual care to residents,” Mr Miller said.

“Residential aged care is all about home – belonging, security, care and connection. Together we will be able to deliver better whole‑of‑person care that values and respects the dignity, choices and needs of those we serve.”

Infinite Care chief Luke Greive said joining Anglicare Sydney strengthens the organisation’s ability to support residents clinically, emotionally and socially.

“At Infinite Care, we believe aged care is about dignity, belonging and creating places our residents are proud to call home,” he said.

“We’re proud of our diverse teams, and our focus remains unchanged: providing excellent daily care, meaningful connection and strong support for the people who make that possible every day.”

The providers emphasised that continuity of care will remain the priority throughout the transition. Residents will continue receiving care from the same teams, and Infinite Care will retain its brand for the foreseeable future.

“People want to age in a home where they belong and have agency over their lives, and I’m delighted to bring together high‑calibre teams committed to delivering whole‑of‑person, life‑enriching and respectful care for older Australians,” Mr Miller said.
