Anglicare SQ celebrates seventh consecutive trusted-brand award

The provider again took out out the 2025 Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brand in Aged Care and Retirement Villages Award

Anglicare Southern Queensland has continued its winning streak, taking out a prestigious industry award for the seventh consecutive year.

The provider was named the Most Trusted Brand in Aged Care and Retirement Villages at this year’s Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards. Uniting and Australian Unity were both highly commended in the category.

Based entirely on consumer votes, the Awards are a recognition of Australians’ personal experiences and perceptions of the products and services they use.

The 2025 Trusted Brands survey was conducted by Catalyst Research on behalf of Reader’s Digest. The initial list of brands was put together from a sample of over 4300 Australian adults when asked an unprompted question about which were the brands they trusted the most. Each respondent then filled out a survey asking about the brands they trusted the most and why.

Anglicare Southern Queensland chief client officer Chloe Henry said the award is a testament to the dedication and hard work the residential and aged care staff.

“To have received this recognition for the seventh year in a row is a terrific achievement,” Ms Henry said.

“At Anglicare our approach to aged care is centred on choice, dignity and independence, ensuring older Australians feel supported and empowered at every stage of their life, and we are committed to delivering this approach year on year.

“Being a provider of essential health care services for the ageing Queensland demographic carries enormous responsibility, so it’s an honour to be named as the most trusted brand in this sector.”

With 150 years of experience delivering care to Australians, Anglicare Southern Queensland is no stranger to a challenge with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred the latest.

“Our residential and aged care staff are there for our residents through both the good times and the challenging ones. Most recently, many of our workers stepped up during the uncertainty our state faced in the wake of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred,” Ms Henry said.

“Despite the unpredictable weather experienced by Queensland, we maintained care across all residential care homes through intermittent power losses and damage to some of our sites.”

Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred hit southeast Queensland and northern NSW in March of this year. Severe winds, deluge rain and floods caused widespread power outages and mass evacuations.

“We also had staff in our Home and Community team who lived close to clients going above and beyond by checking in on them during power outages, helping to clean their homes with no power and doing emergency grocery shops,” Ms Henry said.

“These are just a few examples of why our residents and clients trust us and know they can absolutely rely on us in times of need. I thank our wonderful staff for their tireless efforts – congratulations again for achieving this terrific award!”
